As
part of a working visit to the Kola district of the Murmansk region, the
region's governor Marina Kovtun got acquainted with the progress in the
reconstruction of the spillway of the Nizhne-Tulomskaya HPP.
The
project was launched in 2015. During the reconstruction, all spillway elements
will be completely updated, step-by-step replacement of hydromechanical
equipment will be carried out, and a substation will be modernized. Works will
last until 2019.
"The
large-scale reconstruction is aimed at increasing the reliability and
durability of hydraulic structures, ensuring safe operation of the dam and
meeting modern environmental requirements," said Stanislav Nazarov, deputy
general director and director of the Kolsky branch of PJSC TGK-1.
