Specialists of CJSC
"NEM" started the overhaul of the hydraulic unit of the
Nizhne-Svirskaya hydroelectric power station.
At the
Nizhne-Svirskaya hydroelectric power station located on the Svir River in the
Lodeynopolsky district of the Leningrad region, near the village of Svirstroy,
within a few months, a complex of repair works will be carried out to restore
the standard operating characteristics of the hydroelectric unit to ensure that
it carries a nominal load.
In particular, it is
necessary to carry out a large amount of work to repair the hydraulic turbine,
including repair of the impeller, impeller chamber, turbine cover, guide vane,
servomotors, turbine bearing, oil-pressure installation, thrust bearing of the
hydraulic unit. The centering line of the hydraulic unit shaft and adjustment
of the regulation system will also be carried out. Trash grids and fast-falling
shields will be repaired and painted.
The stator and rotor
will be repaired on the hydrogenerator, the upper and lower generator bearing
will be subjected to revision and refilling, the cooling system and electric
motors will be repaired.
It is planned to complete
the repair in the spring of 2019.

The installed capacity
of the power plant is 99 MW, the average annual output is 434 million kWh.
There are 4
rotary-blade hydraulic units installed in the building of the hydropower plant,
two of which have a capacity of 27.5 MW each and two of 22 MW each operating at
a design head of 10.5 and 11 m. Part of the equipment of the hydroelectric
power station is outdated, it is planned to be modernized.
The owner of the
Nizhne-Svirskaya HPP (with the exception of the shipping lock) is PJSC TGK-1.
