The
specialists of ZAO NEM successfully completed the major overhaul of the
hydroelectric unit No. 1 of the Kumskaya HPP.
During the
overhaul, a full range of repair work was performed to restore the standard
operating characteristics of the hydraulic unit using modern materials and
technical solutions to ensure that the nominal load is carried.
The hydraulic unit is transferred to the operating personnel of the station.
Kumskaya hydroelectric power station - HPP on the river Kuma (the name of the
upper current Kovdy) in Karelia. It is part of the Cascade of the Kovdinsk
hydroelectric power station, organizationally - the Cascade of the Nivsky
hydroelectric power station.
Construction of the hydroelectric power station began in 1955, and ended in
1963. The first hydroelectric unit was commissioned in 1962, and the
hydroelectric power plant was put into commercial operation on March 17, The
capacity of the HPP is 80 MW.
The owner of the station is "Territorial Generation Company No. 1".
