During carrying out of repair of the hydrounit No 2 on Serebryansk Hydro power station, critical
defect of the driving wheel is revealed (the
case of a spherical support of a stone of rocker mechanism has cracked ).
If such defect has not been found out in time, at the
further operation of the hydrounit there would be a failurе as a result of which financial losses would be
estimated a lots of millions of roubles.
Now our experts together with representatives of a factory
of the manufacturer of the hydrounit conduct full disassembly of a wheel for
revealing the reasons of failure of the above details and in parallel there is a
search of a factory capable to manufacturing broken details.
The problem considerably becomes complicated still that
driving wheels GES-15 and 16 of Serebryansk cascade are unique since it is more
anywhere in the world hydrounits with similar mechanisms on turbines are not
used at such big pressures of water.
The decision of this problem will undoubtedly lead to
increase in terms and cost of repair of the hydrounit, but will reduce probability of emergencies in the
future and will make operation of the hydrounit
more reliable of course.
